PENANCE
AND RECONCILIATION – Kneel
The confession
is introduced
Priest Seeing we have a great high priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith,and make our confession to our heavenly Father.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
We have sinned against thee,
Through our own fault, in thought, and word, and deed,
And in what we
have left undone.
We are
heartily sorry, and repent of all our sins;
For thy Son
our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake,
Forgive us all
that is past;
And grant that
we may serve thee in newness of life,
To the glory
of thy name. Amen
The
Gloria – Stand
Glory to God in the highest,
And peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King,
Almighty God and Father,
We worship you, we give you thanks,
We praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ,
only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
You take away the sin of the world,
Have mercy on us;
You are seated
at the right hand of the Father:
Receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One;
You alone are the Lord;
You alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit
In the glory of God the Father. Amen

INTERCESSIONS
– Kneel – Mr Frank Smith Lay Chair
Merciful
Father, accept these prayers,
For the sake
of thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
Bishop Christ is our
peace,
He has reconciled us to God in
one body by the Cross
We meet in his name and share his
peace.
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
All And
with thy spirit.
OFFERTORY
HYMN
Father, Lord of all Creation,
Ground of Being, Life and Love;
Height and depth beyond description
Only life in you can prove;
You are mortal life’s dependence,
Thought, speech, sight are ours by grace;
Yours is every hour’s existence,
Sovereign Lord of time and space.
Jesus Christ, the Man for Others,
We your people, make our prayer;
Give us grace to love as brothers
All whose burdens we can share.
Where your name binds us together
You, Lord Christ, will surely be;
Where no selfishness can sever
There your love may all men see.
Holy Spirit, rushing, burning,
Wind and flame of Pentecost,
Fire our hearts afresh with yearning
To regain what we have lost.
May your love unite our action,
Nevermore to speak alone;
God, in us abolish faction,
God, through us your love make known.

All Our
Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the
glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

THE COMMUNION
Bishop Draw
near with faith
Receive the Body of our Lord
Jesus Christ,
Which was given for you,
And his Blood which was shed for
you.
Eat and drink in remembrance
that he died for you,
And feed on him in your hearts
With thanksgiving.
Everyone is invited to the Altar. If you will not be receiving communion,
Please keep your head bowed for a blessing. At the distribution the
administrant says to each communicant:
The Body of Christ
The Blood of Christ
We reply each time: Amen and then receive.
COMMUNION HYMN
Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart,
be all else but naught to me, save that thou art;
be thou my best thought in the day and the night,
both waking and sleeping, thy presence my light.
Be thou my wisdom, be thou my true word,
be thou ever with me, and I with thee, Lord;
be thou my great Father, and I thy true son;
be thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.
Be thou my breastplate, my sword for the fight;
be thou my whole armour, be thou my true might;
be thou my soul’s shelter, be thou my strong tower:
O raise thou me heavenward, great Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise:
be thou mine inheritance now and always;
be thou and thou only the first in my heart:
O sovereign of heaven, my treasure thou art.
High King of heaven, thou heaven’s bright sun,
O grant me its joys after vict’ry is won;
great heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
still be thou my vision, O ruler of all.
After Communion the Bishop says a prayer.
Heavenly Father,
whose ascended Son gave gifts of leadership and service
to
the Church:
strengthen us who have received this holy food
to be good stewards of your manifold grace,
through him who came not to be served but to serve,
and
give his life as a ransom for many,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
All Almighty God,
We thank thee
for feeding us
With the Body
and Blood of thy Son
Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Through him we
offer thee our souls and bodies
To be a living
sacrifice.
Send us out
In the power
of thy Spirit
To live and
work to thy praise and glory. Amen.
