ALL: Who hath made heaven and earth

Priest: Let us pray:

Handbells Ring

Priest: We stand as we pray:

God our Father, through thy servant Moses

Thou hast ordered that trumpets be made,

so that at the hour of sacrifice, they could be sounded,

that the people hearing them, could prepare and gather for worship:

Grant that these bells, may be blessed,

That by their ringing , thy people may be summoned to Holy Church,

When we hear them may we recall thy love,

in times of sorrow and in joy:

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Cense

Priest: Let us pray:

O Lord Jesu Christ, who camest to the aid of thy disciples in a storm,

Come now and always to our aid.

When the sound of these bells flies through the skies,

May thy Holy Spirit descend on all who hear them,

May they increase in the knowledge of thy faith and love,

May they be guarded by the heavenly host,

And protected in body and soul.
